About OneWorldWalk
Welcome to the new OneWorldWalk center! Your new cross-cultural community center in Downtown Berkeley!
Launched by the Listen for Life
foundation in March 2008, the OneWorldWalk center is a non-profit,
global community gathering space open for peoples of all cultural
backgrounds to exchange, share, preserve, and unify world cultures
through music performances; affordable music lessons and performances;
cross-cultural jam sessions; music workshops; art studios and
exhibition space; and media production and consultation services.
Located in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Berkeley, California, the OneWorldWalk center is a world music community center dedicated to bringing the international cultural arts experience to the community.

Within our cross-cultural “global community” center, people of all backgrounds, particularly recent immigrants, can come together to exchange stories, experience wonderful live concerts performed by world music masters, learn musical traditions through instruments, hear styles of music they have not encountered before, jam in a cross-cultural setting, create in art studio space, exhibit international artwork, participate in multicultural conflict resolution sessions based on the arts, and learn how to produce radio, television, and multimedia internet programs featuring music of the world.

The spectrum of services offered by the OneWorldWalk Center includes, but is not limited to: space for rehearsals and lessons; space for acoustic performances; space for workshops and conferences; studio and exhibit space for artwork; professional music and art lessons; event and/or artist promotion; multimedia production and post-production; and academic lectures.
The OneWorldWalk center is dedicated to share, preserve, and unify our diverse world through music and visual arts. The range of cultural arts disciplines supported by the OneWorldWalk Center include, but is not limited to: visual arts, film, classical chamber and choral music, folk art, musical theater, vocal recitals, acoustic instrumental recitals, and cultural forums.
We look forward to your visit!
History of OneWorldWalk

Internationally renowned musician Donna Stoering founded the global non-profit Listen for Life in London in March 1998. LFL now has affiliate production studios, outreach projects, and/or volunteers in over 45 countries, and its projects or broadcast productions have together thus far impacted the lives of over 9 million people worldwide. With Executive Director Andy Anderson coming on board in 2003, LFL moved the global headquarters to Berkeley, California a few years ago.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary of unifying our world through music, the LFL unveiled a new gift to the global comunity: OneWorldWalk.
OneWorldWalk
promote the use of music as a unifying force amongst all
peoples/cultures within each community, particularly those who are
recent immigrants searching for a way to maintain/share their unique
music traditions.
The "OneWorldWalk center in Berkeley's Arts District will
be the model for many such centers being opened throughout the world
with the help of micro-finance organizations and individual/corporate
donations in each locale. We are a family of music listeners, art
supporters, performers, teachers/educators, multimedia producers,
students, professionals, and volunteers all working together to restore
music as a unifying force amongst all people.
