Donna Stoering, founder of Listen for Life, was honored on May 11, 2013 by the global organization PWI (Powerful
Women International) as a recipient of their 2013 Women of Legacy
awards. They cited Listen for Life's contribution to the
"healing of the planet" through its music projects, media programs and
cross-cultural performances touching over 9 million lives in 55
countries.

Listen for Life Productions has thus far created and archived nearly 400 hours of original programming, featuring many different music styles, for use on broadcast television, the Internet, broadband, cable and satellite channels, and new digital mobile devices. People create awareness campaigns about the importance of saving a life, a rainforest, a rare animal species, a landmark, a water supply...and those are all very important! But some would say that a country's greatest natural resource is its native music - because this beautiful language embodies a people's culture, its history, its personality and its heart. So it is about time that we also have a global campaign to raise the world's awareness of the need to save MUSIC!
